The Seven Archons | Genshin Impact

The Seven Archons or The Seven are the seven gods who preside over the seven regions of Teyvat and have control over certain elements.

Venti

"What does freedom mean when God demands it of you?"

Local name: Venti

Element: Anemo

Country: Mondstadt

Ideal: freedom

For Genshin Impact players, Mondstadt was the first Teyvat experience. It hosted the first characters, the first adventures, and of course the first Archons. Representing the ideal of freedom, Also known as Lord Barbatos or the God of Freedom, Barbatos set out to allow his people to rule without divine interference.

That said, Barbatos isn't reckless. Along with Morax he one of the two original Archons of Genshin Impact, were still alive, he has 2,600 years of wisdom on his shoulders. Barbatos, who watches from the shadows as a bard, he currently living as a human named Venti. He may look low now, but this is a facade. Barbados helped the warm tundra, flattened the mountains and conquered the four winds. After all, it was Barbatos who helped defeat the previous Anemo Archon, Decarabian, in the Archon Wars.

Moreover. Barbatos often directly helped modern Monstadt, as was the case with Venesa. This kind of behavior showed in several historical events, including in the main story where he helped conquer Dvalin with the travelers. In the end, Barbatos will always help Mondstadt if it means protecting the people's freedom, but he now prefers to watch from the shadows as a bard named Venti.

Morax (Rex Lapis)

"Ultimately, he signs a contract to end all contracts."

Element: Geo

Country: Liyue

Ideal: contract

Morax of Liyue, Rex Lapis, God of Covenant, is the oldest Archon then the other of The Seven  and he has been under his rule for at least 2000 years. Unsurprisingly, as an order-centered God, Morax has a very different relationship with his people.

For the Liyue people, Morax goes by the name RexLapis. A great diet known to lead people directly. He is said to define Liyue's economic growth and, as a result, greatly affect relations between nations. Like Barbatos, Morax also has great combat power. During the Arkon Wars, Morax created the Stone Forest of Guyun with his own spear.

Like many other Archons, Morax is not human. Rather, he is an adept in dragon form. Morax is said to be able to take any form  what he chooses, and often descends into Liyue's mask to see the world among people. That said, due to Liyue's conclusion, Morax retired from the Archons and lived among the people as a human named Zhongli.

Baal (Beelzebub)

"In the secluded lands of the Immortal Generals, Bakuf rules eternity. But what do mortals see of their god-chased eternity?"

Local Name: Raiden Shogun/Raiden Ei

Element: Electro

Country: Inazuma

Ideal: Eternity

The Traveler had a very welcoming experience with the first two Archons, but Raiden Shogun made a very different impression. Locking down islands under a violent quarantine and forcibly depriving the country of its vision, the Electroarchons are violent to say the least.

Baal  is the present Eternal God, and all her actions have been taken to achieve this goal. Probably because of her actions, she hasn't been given Electrovision in a year since the end of Liyue's story quest (Who was given the last vision, or is it really Baal's fault to give the vision? Whether or not is currently unknown.) Additionally, Raiden Shogun was the first of the Archons from Genshin Impact and not one of the Original Seven involved in the Archon Wars.

Murata

"The rules of war are woven into the womb. The victor must burn bright, the loser must be ashes. When the God of War shares this secret with the traveler, it means she will Because I have a reason."

Element: Pyro

Country: Natlan.

Ideal: War

Murata, known as the God of War and also know as the Lady of Fire. Murata one of the Seven was a Pyro Archon  presided over Natlan.

it's weirdly, the Archons of Natlán that players start getting a lot of information about. For one, Pyro archon is a god of war, and her personality is best described as "survival of the fittest," based on her description in the Travail preview trailer.

Of course, so far in miHoYo's release schedule, much of what is believed about Pyro archons remains unconfirmed. For example, fans can't even be sure that Murata is the name of a pyro archon, even though the time frame of Venesa's story in the manga would make fans to conclude that it is. Nevertheless, players across the community should be excited about the release of more information about her. 

Lesser Lord Kusanali

"The enemy of the god of wisdom is wisdom itself, and the oasis of knowledge is a mirage in the desert of ignorance. The city of scholars seeks folly, and yet the god of wisdom does not oppose it."

Element: dendro

Country: Sumeru

Ideal: Wisdom

Unusually, despite being the next Ggod on release, the God of Wisdom is one of the characters fans least know about. Nonetheless, miHoYo is a smart company, they are able to put hints in the trailers and combine them with what they know and provide based on lightning-fast conclusions.

Players only know that Dendro archon of Sumeru is the youngest of the Seven and has only ruled for 500 years. The rest about her is pure theory for fans to piece together. However, given that Khaenri'ah's calamity occurred 500 years ago, the two events may be related.

And for genshin Impact fans, were given a little more information at the end of the main lightning arc by Miko. At the priestess' suggestion, Sumeru's Archon seems to use the human form of a female passing by Lord Kusanari. Not like the case of Inazuma's Archon, Kusanari seems to be a goddess loved and loved by her people.

God of Justice

"A righteous God lives for the spectacle of the court and seeks to judge all other gods. But even she does not know God's enemies."

Element: Hydro

Country: Fontaine

Ideal: justice

Little is player currently known about her, besides the fact that she is not one of the original members of The Seven who emerged after the end of the Archon War, and God of Justice is the current Hydro Archon among The Seven and presides over Fontaine.  

Based on her description in the Travail trailer, she is to be skeptical among the gods. Judging them by her own country, the events at Fonta ine may paint the gods in a different color, and the Arcons speak of their shortcomings and crimes.

Tsaritsa

“She is a God who has no love left for her people, and they have nothing left for her. I hope to be there."

Element: Cryo

Country: Snezhnaya

Ideal: TBD

Tsaritsa is a Cryo archon and head of the Fatui. It can be concluded that most citizens of Snezhnaya were not fans of the Tsaritsa, but were drawn to her side by power.

Information about him is srill shrouded in mystery, one of the Tsaritsa's greatest mysteries, though, is her true ideal. There have been many theories: god of war, calamity, power, the list goes on. One of the biggest fan theories states that she's a god of love, based on her description in Travail 's preview trailer. Nevertheless, it is clear that the Tsaritsa is now a cruel goddess and has little respect for her people.
